Svetitskhoveli Cathedral is a historic Georgian Orthodox cathedral in Mtskheta, Georgia, and one of the most important religious sites in the country. It was originally built in the 11th century on the site of an earlier 4th-century church and is traditionally believed to contain Christ’s robe, making it a major pilgrimage destination. The cathedral served for centuries as the main church of Georgia and the coronation and burial site for many Georgian kings.
