Church of the Holy Sepulchre is a Christian church in Jerusalem traditionally believed to contain the sites of Jesus’ crucifixion and burial.
Built in the 4th century under Emperor Constantine, it was constructed over what early Christians identified as Golgotha and Jesus’ tomb. It has been rebuilt and repaired many times over the centuries due to destruction and damage.
Today it is shared by several Christian denominations and remains one of the most important pilgrimage sites in Christianity.
